You deserve a space where you don’t have to lead or have it all together.

You’re building your life around helping and advocating for others, but it’s difficult to do healing work without tending to your own needs. You probably do this work because of and in spite of what happened to you.

Your profession demands constant creative output and every break feels like a setback. Your work impacts your relationships, you body, your finances, and your mental health.

I get it, and I help therapists, activists, and healers stay healthy for long-term, meaningful, and sustainable work. We need you to be well!

I work with smart, dedicated, caring professionals in fields with high risk of burnout and secondary trauma:

  • Psychotherapy & Social Work

  • Environmental Justice & Climate Activism

  • Progressive Church or Pastoral Ministry

  • Abortion & Gender-Affirming Care

  • Progressive Political Organizing

  • Anti-Racism Education

  • Hospital Chaplaincy

  • Non-Profit Leadership

You wouldn’t tell any of the people you help that they can do it on their own, so why are you?

In therapy, you can put aside caring for others and do the hard work of caring for yourself and letting yourself be cared for.

We’ll work to understand how your family and history impact your work and re-write the stories that are getting in the way of your well-being. I can help you address the impacts that this work has on your relationships, process grief and pain, and prevent burnout and secondary-trauma effects. You can explore your privilege in a healthy way. You can talk about how your work impacts you, and share all that you carry inside as you focus on helping others.

Your healing work is important, but so are you.

If you’re contemplating leaving a job or your profession due to burnout, we’ll figure out how to help you decide when to leave or how to stay in a different way.

You deserve to be healthy and supported, so you can do effective caring work in a sustainable way.
